Loch lomond lake is about 20 minute drive from Ben Lomond, it is open from March 1st to sept 15th, it is a Redwood lined lake, no swimming allowed ,trout, bass are abundent, elect motors only for boating, you can rent, paddle boats, row boats and small boats, at the marina.
